QS world ranking 2024: MIT has once again claimed the top spot in the Top 10 list, just like last year. Imperial College London has moved up to the second position.
It is showing improvement in its ranking. Oxford University and Harvard University have both maintained their positions from the previous year. They secured 3rd and 4th places, respectively.
QS world ranking 2024 list
This year, the University of Cambridge dropped to 5th place. It lost its previous position. Stanford University has also experienced a decline. It is now occupying the 6th spot in the QS world ranking 2024.
ETH Zurich has held onto its ranking from last year, standing at 7th place. The National University of Singapore has also maintained its position, remaining in 8th place.
UCL London has once again claimed the 9th rank, just like in the previous year.
California Institute of Technology (Caltech) has shown improvement compared to the 2024 rankings. It is now at the 10th position in the QS world ranking 2024.
According to the official QS rankings website, the methodology employed in 2023 has been utilized to establish the World Rankings.
It is worth noting that the methodology for the World University Rankings 2025 has remained unaltered.
The 100% weightage has been distributed across different categories, with Academic reputation accounting for 30%, Employer reputation for 15%, Faculty Student Ratio for 10%, Citations per Faculty for 20%, and 5% each for International Faculty Ratio, International Student Ratio, International Research Network, Employment Outcomes, and Sustainability.
